Juanita Shockley Ayers, 85 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Ayers was born in Coalwood, WV to the late Vernon & Bessie Walls Shockley. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald Wayne Ayers of the home; and sons Thomas Lee Ayers of Hillsville and William David Ayers of Washington State.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Shockley Cemetery at 10:00 AM with Pastor Chip Neely officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Friday, January, 22, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
