Joyce S. Webb, 66, of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010 at her home.

She was born February 12, 1944 to Vinton Curtis Smythers and Oza Rae Gravley Smythers.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Gene Smythers.

Survivors include her husband Ernest Wayne Webb of the home; sons & daughters-in-laws Jimmy & Denise Webb of Ocala, FL, Steve & Angie Webb of Christiansburg, VA; brothers & sisters-in-laws Elvin & Andrea Smythers of Culpeper, VA, Duane & Alene Smythers of Hillsville, VA, and David & Gloria Smythers of Jacksonville, Fl; sisters & brothers-in-laws Bernice & Ray Maddox of Lynchburg, VA, Gloria & Bill Reece of Indian Valley, VA, Wanda Sue Parnell of Hillsville, VA, Carolyn & Dale Marsh of Low Gap, NC, Susan & Conrad Surratt of Kernersville, NC, and Karen & Mark Taylor of Independence, VA; seven grandchildren Whitney, Shane, Eric, Megan, Morgan, Maggie, and Macy; one great grandchild Jayden. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Gloria Rhudy and Rev. Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
