Joyce Shockley, 82 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.  Mrs. Shockley was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Gray Glenn and Bertha Leona Bevil Haynes.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eugene Shockley; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Joe Cook; and special friend, Debra Cook.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Heather Shockley; grandchildren, Nevaeh Shockley, Noah Shockley, Lily Shockley, and Jimena Prado; siblings, Ann Davis, Eva Sue and James Bryant, David and Lamyra Haynes, and William and Anita Haynes; nieces, nephews and spouses, Mike Cook, Chris and Sheila Cook, Cara Leigh and Shawn Myers, and Benny and Darlene Haynes; and special friends, Lisha Reynolds and Rayleen Cyr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Dalton Hill Christan Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeremy Robison and Pastor Wendell Horton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Felts Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dalton Hill Christian Church P.O. Box 790, Hillsville, VA 24343.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
