Joyce Gardner Phillips of Fancy Gap passed away on February 10, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. She is survived by her husband James "Tommy" Phillips; daughters Teresa Phillips of Fancy Gap, Holly Isaacs of Galax, and Wendi R. Phillips of Woodlawn; a son Eric Phillips of Dallas, TX; sisters Lovelene Horton of Hillsville, Shirley Meredith of Fancy Gap, and Gloria Frazier of Hillsville; grandchildren Airel Phillips and Chase Gardner Isaacs; step-son Clark Shockley; step-daughter Sherry Burrow; and step-grandchildren Zane Shockley, Destiny Shockley, Christine Burrow and Cody Burrow.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel, with Pastor Vickie Neese, Rev. Ray Bolen and Rev. Todd Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour preceding the service.
