Joyce Billings Jones, 72, of Woodlawn, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Mrs. Jones was born in Grayson County on July 15, 1940. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Troy Billings. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband Edgar Dale Jones of the home; children & spouses Jessica Lynn and Charles Cochran of Dublin, Dawn Michelle and Michael Easter of Cana, Angela and Perry Nester of Fancy Gap, Tina and Scott MunCaster of Woodlawn, Vonda and Mike Gonzalez of Romeoville, Illinois, Wayne Jones of Channahon, Illinois, and Michael and Shirley Jones of Rural Retreat; mother Jincye Billings of Independence; brother and sister-in-law Ernest and Alta Billings of Elk Creek; eighteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Mark Carico and Jeremy Hendrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Independence. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 until service time. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a gift be made to Dawn Easter, 600 Lakeview Drive, Cana, VA 24317 for burial expenses. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
