Joyce Kay Cox, 59 of Austinville, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Grayson Nursing and Rehab.  Mrs. Cox was born in Pulaski, Virginia to the late Arlie K. and Kitty J. Duncan Simpkins.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Kathy J. Gravley.

Survivors include her godsons, Christopher Larue (Revonna) and Joseph Larue; siblings, Ricky Lee Simpkins (Lynda), Kendell Simpkins (Karen), Susan Mahala (John), Teresa Edwards (John), and Dolly Simpkins (Jerry); special friend, Mike Baldwin; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kenneth Poston officiating.  Burial will follow in the Full Gospel Holiness Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.  2 Timothy 4:7-8.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
