Joyce W. Burnette, 79 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Twin County Regional Hospital.  Mrs. Burnette was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Alva and Beatrice White Webb.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Burnette; daughter, Melissa Ann Burnette; and three siblings.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Steven Burnette (Mary); grandchildren, Lauren Simpkins (Ken) and Tyler Burnette (Autumn); and three great-grandchildren, AnnaLeigh, Granger, and Karleigh.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Mountain Plains Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bobby Webb officiating.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
