Joy Banks Combs, 69 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Combs was born in Carroll County to the late Lawrence Jefferson & Nancy Arizona Banks. She is survived by her husband, Billy Combs of the home; son & daughter-in-law Barry & Jennifer Combs of Bentonville, AR; granddaughter Skylar Arizona Combs; brothers & sisters-in-law Foy & Reva Banks of Hillsville and Connie & Bevie Banks of Galax; and sister Opal Semones of Hillsville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. David Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Heath Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
