Josephine Myers Giles, 96, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winston Hagen Giles; parents, Louis and Mollie Fowler Myers; sisters Belva Myers Edwards and Betty Myers Gardner.

Jo's teaching career spanned 37 years, both at Hillsville High School and Carroll County High School. She dearly loved every student she had the privilege of teaching.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Hagen and Lisa Giles; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tom Craig; brother Gene Myers, brother and sister in-law Kenneth and Carole Myers; sister Daisy Myers, sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Larry Phillips; three grandchildren, Winston Giles, Caroline Giles, and T.J. Cochran; two great-grandchildren, Josie Cochran, and Charlene Polanco-Gallardo.

Graveside Service and Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Monta Vista Memory Gardens with Rev. Ed Buchanan officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Carroll Christmas Fund. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Giles family.
