Joseph Harry Mina, age 93, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Hillsville Health and Rehab.  Joseph was a Korean Veteran. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Connie Mina; his daughter, Concetta Laboy; his son, Joseph S. Mina; his niece, Merrissa Anicito and her son Carson Anicito; his nephew, Michael Anicito; and his brother, Anthony Mina and wife Anna.

Joseph, 1 of 5 brothers, was born in Jersey City NJ, moved to the Jersey shore to raise his family, and then moved to Hillsville VA 36 years ago with his wife when he retired. There he and his wife raised his niece and nephew to adulthood.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hillsville First United Methodist Church, 225 Fulcher Street Hillsville, Virginia 24343. The service will also be available through YouTube on the church's website. www.hillsvillefumc.org . All are welcome to come to the church service, family will have a small snack available at one of the local pizza places after the service. All are welcome to the restaurant afterwards but we will only be able to afford to cover a small buffet for family. Please don't send flowers, but donations will be accepted to help cover the final expenses. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
