Joseph D. Kirk, 79 of Austinville, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at his home. Mr. Kirk is survived by his wife Daisy Beasley Kirk of the home; sons & daughters-in-law John Kirk of Florida, Jeff & Sue Kirk of Barren Springs, Roy Kirk of Bland, Vernon & Drema Beasley of Austinville, Allen & Elaine Beasley of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Gary Beasley of Honolulu, Hawaii; daughters & son-in-law Mary & Bill Bryant of Austinville, and Joan Beasley of Max Meadows; brothers & sisters-in-law Harold & Phyllis Kirk of Dublin and Marvin & Pat Kirk of Narrows; sisters Frances Maples of California, and Dorothy Haner of Ohio; fifteen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Tony Hodge and Rev. Ronnie Stuart officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Beasley Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
