Joseph Clyde Burnette, 82 of Woodlawn, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his home. Mr. Burnette was born in Carroll County to the late David Roscoe and Lelia Elizabeth Thompson Burnette. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Anders Burnette.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Becky and Tommy Davis of Woodlawn, Dwayne and Dina Burnette of Hillsville, Debbie Davis, and Shirley Fuller; grandchildren, Heather and Justin Seagraves, Tyler Lester, Matthew Edwards, Mark Edwards, and LaShonda Davis; great grandchildren, Madison Davis Reed, and Lucas Bowers; and his cat, Meow Meow.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeff Pickett and Pastor Randy Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow in the Hanks Burnette Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Grover King VFW Post 1115 The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
