John David Winesett, 58 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father John Larson Winesett and mother Geneva Harmon. Mr. Winesett is survived by his wife Letty S. Winesett of the home; son Joshua B. Winesett of Hillsville; daughters & sons-in-law Cheryl Powell of Fancy Gap, Jennifer D. & Norris Short of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Callie Bess & Justin Holt of Hillsville; brother & sister-in-law Blaine Douglas (Doug) & Martha Winesett of Austinville; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Coulson Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, beginning at 12:00 PM and lasting until service time.
