John Carl Thompson, age 74 of Christiansburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital. Mr. Thompson was born in Hillsville, Virginia to the late Alvin Edison and Hattie Iva Thompson.
Survivors include his sister, Patsy Thompson; nieces, Jessica Gallimore and Elisha Gallimore; and nephew, Jerry Gallimore.
A graveside service with burial following will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Pine View Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ronnie Goad officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
