John T. Thomasson, Sr., 80, of Laurel Fork, VA passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Thomasson was born in Fieldale, Virginia on September 14, 1932 to the late Robert Lee Thomasson and Nannie Merriman Thomasson. Survivors include his wife, Colleen B. Thomasson of the home; daughter, Donna Emmanuel of Denton, Texas; and son, John Jr. "Mick" Thomasson of Chicago, Illinois. There will be a private memorial service at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
