John Henry Stout, Jr., 78 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center. Mr. Stout was born in West Virginia to the late John Henry and Eria Hicks Stout. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Webb Stout and a granddaughter, Chrystal Stout.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Lori Stout and Mark and Loretta Stout; daughter, Cindy Stout (Alderman), six grandchildren, Sonya Powell and husband, Shane, Jeremiah Stout, Connor Mabe and wife, Aleesha, Caleb Stout, Sarah Alderman, and Brad Alderman; and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Turner Cemetery at 1:00 PM with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
