John Stephen Semones, 62 of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  John was born in Hillsville, Virginia to the late Burley and Ruth Coulson Semones. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Carson Semones.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Semones; daughter, Amanda Meador (Danny), granddaughter, Lynley Meador; sisters, Sue Banks (Leonard) and Burline Mitchell (Larry); sisters-in-law, Wanda Lambert and Linda Semones; brother-in-law, Danny Hull (Julana); many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Linda Turpin.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Sky View Baptist Church in Fancy Gap, Virginia at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Webb-Skyview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
