John Blaine (J.B.) Newman, 78 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Mr. Newman was born in Virginia to the late Glenn and Helen Winesett Newman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Richard Forrester.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Newman; daughter, Beth Forrester; son and daughter-in-law, John and Norma Jean Newman; grandchildren Laura Pack and husband, Phillip; Noah Newman and Ana Lewis, Tabitha Dalton, and Hallie Newman; and three great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Jonah, and Caden Pack.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Coulson Church of the Brethren at 3:00 PM with Pastors Russell Payne and Wayburn Mosley officiating. Burial will follow in the Coulson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
