John L. Joyce, 72 of Woodlawn, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Joyce was born in Carroll County to the late Jimmie Lee & Joanna Largen Joyce. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Glenna W. Joyce of the home; son & daughter-in-law James & Crystal Joyce of Hillsville; brother & sister-in-law Joe & Donna Joyce of Hillsville; sister & brother-in-law Texas & Elmo Nester of Hillsville; mother-in-law Ilene Whitt of Woodlawn; and special buddies Rambo and Tigger.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:30 PM with Chip Neely, James Jordan and Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the Largen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
