John (Alfred) Griffin 88, of Hillsville passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elva Edwards Griffin. Survivors include his wife Betty Jo Griffin of the home; daughters and sons-in-laws, Sodonia and Roger Edwards of Dugspur, and Amanda and Dustin Bolen of Radford; grandchildren, Mina Ivy Bolen, and Griffin Oscar Bolen; brothers, Howard Chester Griffin of Ohio, Ray Lester Griffin of Austinville, and Marvin Junior Griffin of Manassas, VA ; sister, Laura Bowman of Hillsville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Worrell Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Griffin family.
