Joey Hughes, 69, of Woodlawn, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Hughes was born in Logan, Kentucky to the late Joseph Henry Hughes, Sr. and Lillie Mae Coulter Hughes. Survivors include his wife, Karen Shupe Hughes of the home; children and spouses, Kimberly and Gerry Mayer of Mouth of Wilson, Joseph Hughes, III "Jody" of Indian Valley, and Amy and Bryan Felts of Woodlawn; grandchildren, Steven Mayer, Christian Mayer, Hunter Hoback, Blake Hughes, Brooke Hughes, and Logan Felts; great grandson, Colton George; mother-in-law, Gladys Shupe; uncle, Jack Hughes; aunt, Regina Farmer; and several nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Jim Longest officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church c/o L.
