Joe Cook, 81 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Marie Cook; parents, George and Hulda Johnson Cook; daughter-in-law, Debbie Cook; six brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Mike Cook and Chris and Sheila Cook; grandchildren, Emily Cook and Seth Cook; nephew and spouse, Dale and Heather Shockley; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Shockley, Noah Shockley, and Lily Shockley; sisters, Sarah Jane Tuttle and Betty Jane Branham; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Sammy Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville V.F.W.
