Joe Steven Barley, 71 of Austinville, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem.  Mr. Barley was born in Greensboro, NC to the late Joe B. and Lorine Barley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Bangle Barley.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Gwen Barley; children, Toby Barley and Tonya Barley; grandchildren, Presley Burch, Brittany Thornburg, Kayla Barley, Austin Williams, Timber Ruiz, and Caleb Jewell; twelve great-grandchildren; and sister, Bonnie Taylor.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 PM with Pastor John Tilley officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
