Joe Winters Alderman, 81, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Zilphia Alderman; seven brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Opal G. Alderman of the home; two daughters and son-in-law, Donna Myers and husband Willis of Hillsville, and Dalva Alderman of Hillsville; two grandchildren, Ryan Myers and Kayla Myers.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 4:30 P.M. at Gardner Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Ben Behrendt officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Alderman family.
