JoAnne Gilbert Street, 82, of Austinville passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Robert L. Street; son, Robert Gilbert Street; parents, Joseph Roy and Elizabeth Westerlund Gilbert; and sister, June Gilbert Robinson.

Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-laws, Anne Street Harmon and husband, Joe of Hillsville, and Elizabeth (Betsy) Street King and husband, Rob of Austinville; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Joseph Street and Heather Baber of Banner Elk, NC; three sisters, Elizabeth Lee Gilbert of Rock Hill, SC, Brenda Gilbert Pettus of Fort Mills, SC, and Mary Etta Gilbert Dawson of Rock Hill, SC; five grandchildren, C.J. Julian and wife, Jessica Mazzer Julian, Jessie Harmon and husband, Shawn Bond, Dana Baber, Jack Street, and Michael Harmon; two great grandchildren, Annabelle Baber Triplett and Boss Bond Harmon; and special great niece, Rorie Bond .

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM at The Hillsville First United Methodist Church, 225 Fulcher St. Hillsville, VA 24343 with Rev. Betsy King and Pastor Robert Smith officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Hillsville First United Methodist Church at P.O. Box 356 Hillsville, VA 24343.
