Joan Marie McMillan, 79, of Fancy Gap, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. McMillan was born in New York to the late Paul and Sylvia Leibowitz Galea. Survivors include her husband, William Lewis (Buck) McMillan of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Bruce Fortin of Wilson, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Darlene Ardito of Hillsville; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Patricia Galea of Florida; sisters and brothers-in-law, Iris Vlachos of New York, Gloria and Frank Schizzano of North Carolina, Terri and Robert Longo of Dugspur, and Pat and George Rose of Floyd; grandchildren, William "Billy" Cole, Nikki Davis, Christin Ardito, Tara Ardito, Megan and Tom Caputo, Daniel Mabry, Travis and Pam Moore, Brittany Moore, and Micheal Carter; and great grandchildren, Logan Cole, Lane Davis, Hannah Davis, Jaden Cole, Leigha Harrod, Jayden Edwards and Corbin Cole. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Sandy Hendrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
