J.L. Flanagan, Jr. of Austinville, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his sister Maxine Renee Flanagan; maternal grandfather Bill Bays; and paternal grandparents Fred and Nellie Flanagan. Survivors include his father Lawrence Flanagan, Sr.; mother and spouse Margie and Robert White of Austinville; half brother Brandon White of Hillsville; half sister Dreama Martin of Austinville; and maternal grandmother Irene Bays of Austinville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Parnell Cemetery on Ridge Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
