Jimmy Leff Testerman, 83 of Independence, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in Hillsville Rehabilitation and Rehab.  Jimmy was born in Grayson County on November 25, 1943.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary W. Dalton Testerman; parents, Rush and Polly Testerman; brothers, Sam Testerman (Myrtis) and Clinton Testerman (Helen); granddaughter, Zenna Nicole Dalton; and niece, Kathy Watson.

He is survived by his step-son, Michael and Vickie Dalton; granddaughter, Maggie and Shane Roop; grandson, Mason Dalton; great-grandson, Austin Roop; great-niece, Kimberly and Derek Phipps; and great-great-niece, Madey Phipps.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor David Trent officiating.  Burial will follow in the Dalton Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
