Jimmie Roger May,74, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Jimmie was born in Hurley, Virginia to the late Paris and Laura Estep May. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Effler, Edna Hurley, and Pearl Coleman; brother, Toby May.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Wesley Yonce of Hillsville; son William Roger May of Hillsville; brothers, Henry May, Troy May, Alfred May, Harles May, and Leroy May; sisters, Ethel Hurley, and Shirley Burridge; grandchildren, Courtney Lane and husband Reg, Cory Burton and girlfriend Kayla Bowers, Cayla Horton, Tyler May, and Amber May; great-grandchild, Tucker Lane. Very special family Nancy and Benny Justus, and special sister-in-law Karen May. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 8:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the May family.
