Jessie Irene Easter, 88 of Woodlawn, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Easter was born in Virginia to the late Bert and Mae Thompkins Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carlie R. Easter and a son Joe Bill Easter. Mrs. Easter is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law Bobby L. & Daisy Easter of Galax and James R. & Barbara Easter of Melbourne, FL; sister Shelby Goodson of Low Gap; six grandchildren Robert Easter, Christine Mamula, Kimberly Easter, Shawna Leftwich, Adam Bushlow and Austin Easter; one great grandchildren Angel Bushlow; one step great granddaughter Lynn Dee Linsmeyer; one step great-great granddaughter Sasha Lynn Glissendors; and one step great-great-great granddaughter Savana Fay Glissendors.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
