Jesse Reed, 63, of Hillsville, a man of quiet determination and deep love for his family, passed away on July 7, 2025.

Jesse was a devoted husband, the kind of dad who could fix anything, an adoring papa, and a man who made life better just by being in the room. Born March 11, 1962, he spent his life quietly building a legacy of generosity, hard work, strength, and humor that will live on far beyond him.

Jesse's family was his greatest pride. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Anita, his daughter Lauren, and son-in-law Eli, who carry forward his warmth, humor, and a little bit of his signature stubbornness, and his granddaughter Eisley, who brought him immeasurable joy and kept him young at heart. He is also remembered fondly by extended family, dear friends, coworkers, and anyone lucky enough to cross paths with him.

In honor of Jesse's wishes (and to avoid all the fuss he never liked), no services will be held. Instead, we ask that you do what he did best: help someone out without expecting anything in return—and if you can make them laugh while you're at it, even better.
