Jesse Creed (J.C.) Easter, 84, of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Easter was born in Carroll County, Virginia on July 15, 1927 to the late Jesse Michael Easter and Rozenia Burcham Easter. Survivors include his wife Quintella F. Easter of the home; children and spouses Mary Sue and Glen Marshall of Fancy Gap, Alice Lowe of Hillsville, and Roger and Eva Easter of Hillsville; step daughters & spouses Patricia (Trish) Frazier and Michael Colna of Hillsville and Jeanette and David Leftwich of Hillsville; brother James Garnie Easter of Woodlawn; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one step great grandson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Ray Bolen, Rev. Russell Payne and Rev. Gloria Rhudy officiating. Burial will follow in the Dowells Grove Cemetery on Main Line Road in Cana. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
