Jerry Wayne Branscome, a 31 year resident of The Carroll House Group Home in Hillsville, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital at the age of 56. Mr. Branscome was born in Radford, Virginia to the late Rush and Guida Marshall Branscome on January 2, 1956. Jerry is survived by special cousins Donna Darnall and Garry Branscome; several other cousins; special friends Sam and Eula Simmons, the Staff and Residents at The Carroll House Group Home and Mount Rogers I.D.C. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Michael Shockley officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 one hour prior to the funeral service.
