Jerry Alvin Horton, 58 of Woodlawn, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Galax Nursing and Rehab.  Mr. Horton was born in Mount Airy to Garnett and Oleane Hawks Horton. He is preceded in death by his father, Garnett and his brother, Barry Odell Horton.

Survivors include his mother, Oleane Hawks Horton of Woodlawn VA; son, Mason Horton and daughter-in-law, Brooke Horton of Mount Airy NC; daughter, Adrienne Gough and son-in-law, Jarrod Gough of Mount Airy NC; grandchildren, Cade and Ridge Horton of Mount Airy NC; and special friend, Charmin Brookman of Hillsville VA.

Jerry's love for others was a guiding light, shaping the lives he held dear. His legacy lives on through the countless memories he shared and will be missed dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
