Jerry Wayne Cummins, 64, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Cummins; son, Carl Dewayne Cummins.

Jerry was an avid hunter that truly loved all that nature had to offer and had the upmost respect for all that life had to offer.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Cummins of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy Ray and Victoria W. Cummins of Dugspur; mother, Helen Woodson Cummins; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Michael Nester of Hillsville; brother, Bruce Cummins of Hillsville; sister, Wanda Dalton of Hillsville; six grandchildren, Samantha, Elijah, Creed, Elizabeth, Josiah, and Wyatt; sisters-in-law and spouses, Janet Ogle, Darlene and Daymon Horton, Donna and Randall Hudson; brother-in-law and spouse, Todd and Patricia Ogle. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and a community of loving friends that knows no bounds.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Larry Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Surratt Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 8;00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Cummins family.
