Obituary

Jerome Hyman Sawyers, 54 of Woodlawn, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at his home. Mr. Sawyers was born in Galax, VA to the late Virgil Clayton and Marie Racheal Eastridge Sawyers.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Sawyers of the home; son, Anthony Sawyers of Woodlawn; daughter, Mercedes Sawyers of Galax; brother, Nelson Sawyers of Galax; sisters, Rosalee Royal of North Wilkesboro, NC and Nancy of Galax; grandchild, Leo Wilson and one grandchild on the way.

There will be no services at this time. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
