Jean Horton Nobblitt, 64 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at her home.  Ms. Nobblitt was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late William N. and Hazel M. Bowman Horton.

Survivors include her children, Phillip Nobblitt (Alissa) and Emily Herndon (Josh); grandchildren, Jackson Nobblitt, Jared Herndon, and Stella Nobblitt; sister, Lisa Smith (Peter); nephew, Jacob Smith (Stephanie); and great-nephew, William Smith.

Jean was a lifelong member of Fairview Presbyterian Church and a teacher.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Presbyterian Church with Elder Rhonda Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Fairview Presbyterian Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carl and Linda Goad Memorial Children's Christmas Fund c/o Fairview Presbyterian Church 15 Fairview Lane, Hillsville, VA 24343.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
