Jean Renee Goad, 69 of Dugspur, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.  Mrs. Goad was born in Louisiana to the late Ivan and Marie Anita Andrus.

Jean was a faithful Catholic and attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church.  She was also a loving mother and wife and a beloved grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer Goad; children, Michelle Goad Gilley (Nick), Joseph Goad (Amy), Thomas Goad (Jackie), Stephen Goad, Andrew Goad, Marie Goad DiFiore (Michael), and Patrick Goad; siblings, William Andrus, Joseph Andrus, and Mary (Andrus) Bowers; and eleven grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Father Herman Katongole officiating.  Burial will follow in the Goad Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
