Jaunita May Elledge, 77, of Woodlawn, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Born June 30, 1941 in Covell, WV, she was the daughter of the late Benton and Octavia Lusk. She was a member of the Sylvatus Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus and was the loving wife of Rev. Raymond Elledge. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of a grieving family. She was loved by her family, church family, and a host of many friends. Her greatest pleasures in life were playing piano, singing, crocheting, gardening, cooking, canning, knitting, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her brother, Billy Lusk; grandson, Rusty Hall and great grandson Axl Elledge. Survivors include: Her loving husband of 61 years, Rev. Raymond Elledge; brother, Terry and Judy Lusk; sisters, Linda and Ricky Long; Betty and George Humphrey. One Son and Four Daughters: Diana Elledge of Hillsville, VA, Kenneth and Charmaine Elledge of Woodlawn, VA, Sharon and Keith Beasley, Sr. of Austinville, VA, Sarah and Andy Kast of Wytheville, VA, Ruth and Perry Burleson of Statesville, NC; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am until 2:00pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Sylvatus Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00pm with Rev. Raymond Elledge and Rev. George Pendergrast officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Austinville, VA. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
