Obituary

Jason Odean Dalton, 45, a man of steady resolve, deep skill, and a spirit shaped by both hardship, perseverance, and resiliency, went home to be with the Lord, finally finding the peace he had long sought. He was reunited with his brother, Joel, who had gone home to the Lord 33 years earlier—almost to the day.

He found purpose in hobbies, working with his hands and creating things that lasted. Whether he was fishing, hunting, golfing, iRacing, cooking, woodworking, or tending to landscaping projects, he approached each activity and task with focus and pride. Technically inclined and endlessly capable, he could take on anything—from full house renovations to mechanic work to electrical projects—and see it through with
determination.

A constant source of comfort was his loyal furry companion, Rem. Through his darkest days, Rem stood faithfully by his side, offering the kind of unconditional love and quiet support that only a devoted animal can give.

A significant chapter of his life was devoted to the family business, Dalton Logging Supply, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this past year. He played a central role in its growth and stability, helping guide it into its next era. He coordinated a heartfelt celebration to honor his father, who had built the business from humble beginnings through grit, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment. His own dedication brought meaningful advancements and contributed greatly to the business's continued success.

He is preceded in death by his older brother Kenny Joel Dalton, grandparents, Kenny and Virginia Dalton, Theodore and Gracie Bolt, and special honorary grandpa, S.G. Bolt "Papa G".

He is survived by his loving parents, Kenny and Brenda Dalton, his sister and brother-in-law, Donnie and Christy Sutphin, his three daughters, Haylee (Kyle), Jaycee, and Kenzee, his granddaughter, Avalynn, three nephews, Bryson, Cayden and Tanyan, and his devoted fiancée, Mindy Thomas. Each connection shaped his journey and the man he became.

The hole in our hearts and the void in our lives can never be repaired. Yet his strength, his craftsmanship, and the peace he finally found will remain with all who loved him, stuck by him, and supported him.

He will be remembered with love, honored with gratitude, and missed beyond measure.
