Janie Martin, 73, of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Pulaski Community Hospital in Pulaski, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Virginia Ayers Hodge.

She is survived by her husband David Martin, Jr. of the home; two daughters and son-in law Janice Mabry of Wytheville, and Peggy and Manuel Mendez of Laurel Fork; brother, Richard Hodge of Barren Springs; two sisters, Carolyn Viars of Barren Springs, and Linda Faye Hodge of Pulaski; two granddaughters, Tabitha Mendez and Jessica Mendez; four grandsons, David Martin Mendez, Victor Mendez, Matthew Mabry, and Gary Mabry.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Wilma Dalton, Rev. David Allen, and Rev. Norman Goad officiating. Burial will follow at the C.C. Webb Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
