Janet Maxine Gardner, 53 of Woodlawn, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father Luke White Hodge and a son Andrew David Gardner. Mrs. Gardner is survived by her husband Joe Bill Gardner of the home; mother Helen Hodge of Galax; sisters & brothers-in-law Kathy & Howard Largen of King, NC and Lisa & Irvin Myers of Mocksville, NC; nieces Crystal Largen and Angie McFarland; nephews Bryan Largen and Darren Hanks; great niece Gracey McFarland; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends Gaynell Cochran and Monica & Chuck Thompson; and nanas special children Emma Thompson, Jackson Thompson, Jacob Motley, Allen Dean Young and Scarlett Martin..

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Bishops Chapel Church at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jimmy Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Bishops Chapel Church from 12:00 until 1:00 on Saturday prior to the funeral service.
