Jane Paulette Melton, 79 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Hillsville Health and Rehabilitation.  Ms. Melton was born in Carroll County to the late Howard Clifford and Earline Alderman Marshall.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Opal Marie Meredith.

Survivors include her children, Denise Dixon (Johnny Lee) and Darrin Melton (Victoria); eight grandchildren, Zachary Phillips (Savannah), Meagan Baker (Joshua), Joshua Phillips, Hannah Davis (Storm), Ashley Melton (Alexis Espinoza), Jackson Melton, Chandler Dixon (Jessyka Lintecum), and Jayda Dixon; six great-grandchildren, Hunter Savage, Sydney Phillips, Declan Baker, Blake Baker, Finnley Dixon, and Aleia Espinoza; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with burial will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Alderman Memorial Cemetery with Pastor James Whitten officiating.  The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Monday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the graveside service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
