James Edward Worrell, 81, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Salem Health & Rehab Center in Salem, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Jefferson & Mae Davis Worrell; wife Bernice G. Worrell.

He is survived by seven children Barbara Allen of Akron Ohio, Michael Worrell of Roanoke, Dean Worrell of Roanoke, Donna Harbaugh of Colonial Beach, VA, Walter Worrell of Roanoke, Mary Worrell of Callaway, VA, and Daniel Worrell of Roanoke; two brothers & sister-in-law Elton (Hap) Worrell of Austinville and Charles (Bud) & Wilma Worrell of Woodlawn; two sisters Christine W. Huff of Hillsville, Lois Corbett of PA.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Grover Guynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderman Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 17, 2011 one hour prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
