James (Jimmy) Wilson Turner, 56, of Galax, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Golden Living Center, in Galax.

He was preceded in death by his father Buford Turner.

Mr. Turner is survived by his mother Hassie Cassell Turner of Golden Living Center, Galax; aunt, Betty Jo Farris of Hillsville; loving friends and caregivers Jack & Betty Saul. Several cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ty Harrison, Pastor Ronnie Collins and Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
