James David Shoptaugh, 78 of Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010 in Dugspur. Mr. Shoptaugh is survived by his wife Joan Saurage Shoptaugh of Denham Springs, LA; daughter Catherine Shoptaugh Landry; sons & daughters-in-law J. David & Beth Nicolle Shoptaugh, John E. & Bridget Shoptaugh, and Mark & Anna Sells Shoptaugh all of Baton Rouge; step children & spouses A.T. & Christy Wiggins of Dugspur, Terry Wiggins Chestnut of Slidel, LA, and Joan Wiggins & Andy Ahlborn of Kansas City, MO; brother John R. Shoptaugh of San Diego, CA; sister Ruth Shoptaugh Olive of Midway, KY; 16 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Huff Cemetery with Pastor Jon LeMontaigne officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115.
