James Clayton Shockley, 86 of Woodlawn, passed away at his home on December 13, 2025.  He was born January 5, 1939 to the late John Walter Daniel Shockley and Ollie Elizabeth Edwards Shockley.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Howard, Glen, and Elmer Shockley and his sister, Virginia Shockley Jefferson.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Mary Frances Jenkins Shockley; children and spouses, Ricky and Vangie Reece Shockley, Randy Shockley, and Dana and Jon Ward; grandchildren, Draven Ward, Ledger Ward, Jacob Shockley, Andrew Jennings, and Alexis Cleveinger (Denny); and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 3:30 PM with Gary Marshall officiating.  Entombment will follow in the William Jenkins Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 2:30 until 3:30 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
