James Ruben Goad, 70 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024.  Mr. Goad was born in Carroll County.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lee Goad; children, Nancy Evans (Nelson, Jr.), Jimmy Goad (Nicole) and Sherry Hunt (Tracy); grandchildren, Adriann Surratt (Cody Bennett) and Holly Crouse (fiancé, Kamron McGuire); and special nephews, Burton Wayne Tate and Travis Wayne Hylton.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 1:00 until 4:00 PM at Red Hill Farms and Event Venue, located at 5368 Chances Creek Road, Fancy Gap, Virginia 24328.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
