James Walter Reece, 79 of Dugspur, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at his home.  Mr. Reece was born in West Virginia to the late Raymond and Wilma Barber Reece.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Nelson Reece and Janet Semone.

Survivors include his sons, David Reece (Maria Alejandra Silva-Tucci) and Daniel Reece (Katelyn); grandchildren, Agustina Silva, Cami Silva, Lucia Silva, Evan Reece, Ava Reece and Ila Reece.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel from 12:00 until 2:00 PM with military rites being conducted by Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115.  A private burial will be in the James Walter Reece Cemetery.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
