James Edward Quesenberry, 86 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Quesenberry was born in Pulaski, Virginia to the late Buster and Lockie Ella Marshall Quesenberry.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Mowyer (Talley) Quesenberry, Sanford Quesenberry, Pauline Sutphin, and Mary Goad.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Quesenberry; daughter, Jill Russell; sons, Ricky Quesenberry and Curtis Quesenberry; grandchildren, Justin Quesenberry, Brooke Hall and Brandon Quesenberry; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Slone; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Dr. James Deboe officiating.  Burial will follow in the Allison Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
